Society 5.0 and 4IR have been the main topics in the upcoming Digital Week Online’s Global Digital Transformation Day. Global Digital Transformation Day started at 08:30 am with opening remarks. The first main panel followed at 09:00 am and run until 10:00 am. Under the title Digital Transformation – Society 5.0 – 4IR how to make it happen for cities and countries?, top government officials HE Saifuddin Abdullah – Minister of Communications of Malaysia, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui – Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication Pakistan, HE Oleksandr Bornyakov – Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Ukraine, and industry representative Dr Edwin Diender – VP Digital Transformation Huawei will meet to provide a nation-based view to how to develop and implement Society 5.0. At 10:30 am, the panel How to Reinvent Cities and Nations in a time of Covid-19? will take place. It will feature Rais Hussin – Chairman Malaysia MDEC, Micah Walker – CEO Grabba, Dr Kiran Fernandes – Associate Dean Durham University UK, Vice Chair National Commission UNESCO, Antonio Santos – Thought leader Ambassador Atos Siemens.
